Barry Shrum  

My attorney for over a decade now is Barry Neil Shrum, Esquire, a Nashville-based attorney who specializes in intellectual property and entrepreneurship.  Although his focus in Music City U.S.A. has been on the country music sector, Barry has represented some of the most influential movers and shakers in the creative industries and the venture capital business.  He is skilled in all aspects of intellectual property and is the person I turn to when I need a contract to reflect the deals that I put together. 

Barry is also a professor at the Mike Curb School of Music Business, Belmont University.   He teaches entertainment law, licensing, copyright, trademark and cyberlaw.  Barry recently wrote a book entitled Origins of an Idea: An Apologetic of Original Expression, which soon will be available in retail outlets.
